A disturbing video has surfaced of two boys on e-bikes allegedly throwing a can of “piss” on a passerby who was casually walking along the Oceanway.

The video, which was posted to a southern Gold Coast Facebook community page, shows the moment two boys conspire to toss a yellow liquid on the man.

The two boys are captured laughing as they speed past the pedestrian who was stopped in his tracks while walking along the popular Oceanway path in Coolangatta.

The man flinched and held his hands to his face after being hit by the liquid.

A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said they had no official complaint in relation to the alleged incident but were aware of the video.

The spokeswoman confirmed a person who commits an act of this nature could be charged with common assault.

The video was posted by an anonymous member who said the incident was “far from OK”.

“I am now just seeing a video that has been sent to me by another parent of these putrid kids thinking it’s hilarious to piss in a cup and throw it on a bloke minding his own business,” the poster said.

“Parents do better. I hope you’re proud of who you have raised.

“I can’t help but feel so sad for the poor guy.

“What is wrong with people.”

It comes as tensions continue to rise over the use of e-bikes on the southern Gold Coast.

Last month, the families of two young boys who were left seriously injured after being struck by e-bikes in Tugun demanded an urgent review of legislation governing the devices.

Following the outcry, Gold Coast police chief superintendent Craig Hanlon said officers were struggling to control the reckless young e-bike riders.
