Popular Surfers Paradise nightspot The Beverly has undergone a revamp, with Glitter Strip heavyweights Artesian Hospitality taking over.
The Beverly, established by nightclub boss Joey Lamattina and Melbourne-based Rozzis Group in 2022, is situated in the former Melba’s space on Cavill Ave.
Artesian has taken on the club with seltzer brand South Ave and clothing and apparel brand South St. South St has a physical store at Pacific Fair and is well-known on the Coast.
With seven venues now across the Gold Coast, hospitality giant Artesian managing partner Matt Keegan said the addition of the Beverly to its Surfers Paradise portfolio was a “clear marker for change”.
“It shows with the help of brands like South Ave and South St venues that focus on product and atmosphere will be the future,” he said.
South Ave co-founder, Reno Marrasso, said the partnership would bring a “new dynamic and customer” to Surfers Paradise.
“Guests can enjoy our premium seltzers in an environment that exudes both energy and elegance,” he said.
“We are excited to contribute to this transformation.”
Mr Keegan said the venue was inspired by classic photography, images and iconography of The Beverly Hills Hotel.
“The venue’s aesthetic is reflective of the rich history of the Los Angeles institution, with distinctive pink-and-green motif,” he said.
“It’s not your average Surfers Paradise experience. It’s a venue with a difference which includes vibe, music, style and decor.”
The venue’s new design includes a lounge bar, dance floor, and several areas catered to dancing and relaxing.
