Glasheen takes on pests, McDonald gets tourism

Cr Anne Glasheen has taken charge of Toowoomba Regional Council's pests while Cr Geoff McDonald will be a representative on the region's new tourism board.

CR ANNE Glasheen was yesterday voted in by council to be chairperson of the Toowoomba Regional Pest Management Advisory Committee.

Cr Nancy Sommerfield will also be a council representative on the committee.

Meanwhile, Cr Geoff McDonald has been appointed as council's representative on the Southern Queensland Country Tourism Board.

The new organisation was launched in late-August, merging Toowoomba Golden West and South Burnett Tourism and Southern Downs and Granite Belt Regional Tourism to market the entire region.
