Darling Downs Health has announced it will open two new Covid-19 vaccination clinics this week.
A two-day Pfizer-only clinic will be operating at the Memorial Hall in Texas on Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20, from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
Residents aged between 16 and 60 are encouraged to take advantage of the additional two clinics.
Members of the community aged over 60 are reminded that Astra Zeneca is the preferred vaccine for that age group.
“This vaccination clinic will ensure better protection for communities around the border areas and Southern Downs,” Health Emergency Operations Centre executive lead Annette Scott said.
“We have seen how the Covid-19 landscape can change quite quickly so we want to ensure that residents in these areas have ready access to vaccinations.”
The clinic will welcome walk-in appointments only.
An additional clinic will also be open at the Murgon PCYC, from Wednesday, August 18 to Friday, August 20, but times will vary each day.
Registrations for the Murgon clinic are required and can be made online by clicking here.
Please bring a form of identification, Medicare card and pen.
It comes after the recent clinic in Goondiwindi resulted in more than 3000 people stepping up to get their jabs.
