An alleged drunk driver who cannoned into an Armstrong Creek home with children on board is expected to be charged with more offences as video evidence emerges.

An alleged drunk driver who cannoned into a suburban home with children on board before allegedly fleeing the crime scene has fronted court.
Nathan Thomas Rourke, 36, has been charged with drink-driving, careless driving and breaching a court order following the incident in Armstrong Creek on May 14.
Two child passengers were hospitalised after the crash, on the corner of Eaglebay Rd and Shipstern St.
It resulted in significant structural damage to the property believed to have been empty at the time.
A large crowd of visibly shocked onlookers witnessed the aftermath of the smash, as police and SES managed the scene for hours.
A Geelong court heard on Thursday new evidence, including video footage, is expected to be used as part of the prosecution’s case against Mr Rourke.
Police will allege he abandoned the car and fled before being arrested.
In asking for an adjournment, Mr Rourke’s defence barrister told the court further charges were also expected to be laid against him.
“There is some footage that has been provided and further time is needed to assess the material,” she said.
Magistrate Simon Guthrie granted the adjournment.
He extended his bail until his next court appearance on June 20.
One neighbour told this masthead on the night of the crash they had been “sitting and eating dinner when we heard an almighty bang and a couple of kids screaming”.
