SITUATED in that special pocket of East Toowoomba to the north of Margaret St and east of Curzon St, 1 Arthur St is a property like no other.
And the extensively renovated, early 1900s property has generated significant interest since it was splashed across the pages of a number of national publications in the past week.
The prestigious home is for sale with a price guide of $1.75 - $1.795 million.
Belle Property Toowoomba's Rob Murphy said he expected that by Sunday he will have conducted a minimum of five inspections through the five bedroom, three bathroom home.
"The attention to detail all the way through (the property) is evident," Mr Murphy said.
"And location is key, that's what you're buying.
"That particular quarter is tightly held and you don't get a lot of properties that pop up in that location and that's why they're generally hotly contested."
The home, on its 1341 sq m allotment, features an exquisite blend of period features throughout, including spotted gum polished timber floors, soaring high ceilings, and a classic wrap veranda.
Mr Murphy said it had been "an interesting time" for the real estate industry in recent weeks, owing to the COVID-19 restrictions that were now starting to ease.
But he stressed that in Toowoomba, real estate prices had not declined.
"Especially on the east side, stock levels are tight," he said.
"And because we don't have an oversupply, I feel that we are really better positioned to make sure that we potentially don't have a big downturn in our pricing in the near future."
