September is the most wonderful time of the year in Toowoomba with plenty of exciting events planned for the Carnival of Flowers.

Crowds are set to line the streets of Toowoomba on Saturday and watch in awe as colourful floats, street performers and stilt walkers travel through the Garden City.

The parade starts on Herries St, at 10am on Saturday and will conclude at Queens Park.

Make an entire weekend of the festivities by heading over to Side Show Alley, where thrillseekers can enjoy rides, fairy floss and showbags.

Side Show Alley will be at Frogs Hollow in Queens Park from Friday to Sunday, with fireworks set to light up the sky on all three nights.

As night-time sets in, take a walk through the Botanic Gardens of Queens Park and enjoy the twinkling lights of the Night Garden, powered by Ergon Energy.

Toowoomba Regional Council Mayor Paul Antonio said the 73rd carnival had released a program of events which catered to all ages and interests.

“Our iconic event centres on the region’s stunning floral displays … take the time to be inspired by our magnificent civic parks and the stunning home gardens,” Mr Antonio said in his official welcome message for the 2022 event.

“Against this backdrop, visitors can choose from many events to experience.”
