A LONG-standing pub and hotel in the western Toowoomba region has hit the market through an expressions of interest campaign.
Sovereign Property Partners listed the Western Line Hotel in Oakey for sale last week.
Lead agent Tressa Lindenberg said the pub, which earned its name from itx proximity to the western railway line and Oakey train station, featured a full bar and 12 accommodation rooms upstairs.
"The Western Line Hotel is a fully operational hotel, consisting of public bar, dining room and function room," she wrote in the online listing.
"Upstairs there is a three-bedroom manager's unit, along with 12 accommodation rooms and communal bathrooms and laundry.
"There is also a new attached drive-through bottle shop.
"The hotel has been recently extensively renovated, fully re wired and a new switch board installed.
There are 48 new solar panels on the roof, Town water and loads of parking."
Ms Lindenberg said there was a development option available for the property.
"There is a redevelopment option with council approval - this stunning building is in a commanding position at the top end of town," she said.
"It lends itself to many options, including restaurant, accommodation, or even medical or general office use."
The Western Line Hotel has been a fixture in Oakey since the early 20th century, with images from 1917 showing it in the same location.
