NOTHING has the power to brighten up someone’s day quite like a fresh bouquet of flowers.

And Toowoomba local Maree Ault hopes to do just that through her new business Natural Narratives.

“I’ve always been really passionate about nature, art and making someone’s day a little brighter,” Ms Ault said.

“One of the main goals as a small-business owner is to be sustainable so I will be recycling preloved vessels such as baskets, dishes and ceramics as much as possible.”

The 22-year-old who is studying to be a florist at Flowers to Impress is set to finish her course at the end of the year.

Offering customers a range of unique, fun and creative styles, the small business owner sells bouquets and arrangements in different shapes, sizes and vessels.

And while picking a favourite isn’t easy, the bright florist said she has fallen in love with Dahlias.

Alongside other florist students, Ms Ault will be holding a pop-up shop at Bell St Mall on Thursday from 9am to 4pm.

Prices vary with small teacup arrangements starting from $20.
