TWO young children who were critically injured in a tragic crash remained in a Brisbane hospital yesterday as the community grieved the loss of their mother.
The children and another sibling were travelling in a car which was involved in a collision with a crane truck at Top Camp on Monday morning.
The impact killed their 37-year-old mother.
Students at St Thomas More's Primary School, where the children involved went to school, were yesterday offered support from counsellors, staff and Father John Quinlan.
Catholic Education Office director John Borserio said a letter was sent home to parents to inform them of the incident.
"The Catholic Education Office will continue to work with the school community to ensure they are provided with the support needed," Mr Borserio said.
"The family and all those affected by yesterday's tragic accident are in our thoughts and prayers."
