Exploring the wonders in our own backyard will now be easier than ever, with the launch of a Toowoomba-born concept for holidaygoers.

The Stronestreets Coaches and Travel team has been working together and operating group tours to destinations across the country and globe since the early 90s.

Now the business has relaunched as eXpedition10 and is offering bespoke and unforgettable travel experiences.

Co-directors Rob Brown, Phil Stonestreet and Bev Mules spent 18 months creating exclusive tours of the Cape York, Queensland Gulf, cattle properties, Aboriginal art and gold fossicking.

“There’s a real need for people to explore the outback, but some people either aren’t confident to do it on their own, they don’t have a suitable vehicle or they don’t know where to go,” Mr Brown said.

“We feel this new model of travel will provide enhanced experiences for both travellers and travel operators.”

Travelling in a custom Isuzu 4WD with off-roading abilities, the vehicle can access hard-to-reach places.

The tours will remain personal with no more than 10 guests at a time.

Luxury glamping or accommodation facilities will also be arranged as part of the tour.

Several trips are already booked this year and are set to start from April with destinations including Alice Springs, Birdsville, North Queensland and Cape York.

The unique concept has launched at no better time with the opening of borders and many Australians eager to travel.
