Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to a Toowoomba CBD location after four people reportedly became trapped in a lift.

A Toowoomba QFES crew attended the 566-570 Ruthven Street building, which also houses an early voting centre ahead of the May 21 Federal Election, shortly before midday.

A QFES spokeswoman confirmed four people were trapped in a lift, and a lift technician were called to assist.

All trapped individuals were freed shortly after 12.30pm, and no injuries were recorded.
