UPDATE: An elderly woman has died after a hit and run incident in North Toowoomba last week.

Police have renewed appeals for witnesses to the crash at the corner of Hume and Bridge Streets about 11am on Tuesday, November 14.

A blue sedan had been travelling east along Bridge Street when it collided with a white ute, forcing it to collide with a third car at the intersection.

A woman in her 90s was taken to hospital with injuries where she later died.

"Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dash cam vision from the crash to come forward to police," the appeal from police read.

"In particular, police would like to speak to the driver of a teal coloured sedan, believed to be a 2011-2013 Holden Cruze, that was either a CDX or CRI model.

"It is believed to have a Western Australian registration plates, possibly with C26 in them."

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.

EARLIER: Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run in Toowoomba North on Tuesday, November 14. 

Initial investigations indicate at 11am a blue sedan was travelling east along Bridge Street when it collided with a white utility, causing the utility to collide with a third car at the intersection of Hume Street and Bridge Street. 

A woman was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries. 

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dash cam vision from the crash to come forward to police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
