The Spotted Cow will launch its new look to a VIP event on Friday December 4, with the venue open to the public the following day.

New owner Hallmark Group, which manages several major venues across southeast Queensland, is in the middle of a $1.5 million revitalisation of the classic pub.

Company director Scott Hempel told The Chronicle earlier this month the reopening had been delayed slightly due to issues with the shipment of certain items due to COVID-19.

“It’s all the finishing touches and hopefully this week we can announce when the actual opening date is,” he said on November 12.

“It’s all hands on deck — there would be 20 guys on site at the moment.

“The lead times on all the products and fittings have been the biggest challenge — COVID hasn’t helped that side of things.”

Hallmark Group was announced as the new owner of the Spotted Cow in September, having bought it from long-time publicans Mick and Dianne Coorey.
