Renovations under way for CBD property on busy Toowoomba intersection of Hume, Herries Sts
A MAJOR Toowoomba developer is believed to be behind major renovation works at a property on one of the city’s busiest intersections.

Barry and Mitchell Bernoth are understood to be completing a revitalisation of the First National building on the corner of Hume and Herries St.
Newlands Group is the major contractor on the project, which also appears to include the neighbouring property as well.
The renovation is believed to be a base build refurbishment to cater for a future tenant.
Newlands declined to comment on the matter.
Barry and Mitchell Bernoth, who are behind some of the city’s most ambitious residential projects, were contacted on several occasions by The Chronicle.
The father-and-son team recently revealed plans to build a new apartment complex just metres away from Gradn Central.
It also comes after the pair proposed an 11-storey parking and residential tower next to the Easternwell building on Bell St.
