By the middle of next year, a new piece of infrastructure will be added to the Toowoomba cityscape and will house one of the city’s oldest law firms.

Run by local builder Darren Buckley, Groom and Laver’s new building will lie on the corner of Clifford and Isabel Streets in the Toowoomba CBD, and is anticipated to be complete by mid-2021.

Owner and Solicitor Amanda Boyce said the construction of the new building would be an exciting addition, and something to look forward to in 2021.

“It will provide our clients with easy access and parking and improved facilities to enable us to continue to provide consistent, trusted, and experienced legal advice in a range of areas,” she said.

Co-owner Andrew Taylor echoed the sentiment, saying the historic firm would live n an iconic location.

“It is fitting that our firm, which has such a rich history, will be located in the Clifford House precinct,” he said.

“This particular move starts a new chapter for Groom and Lavers and demonstrates our commitment to this region and the community.”

The purpose-designed office, with dedicated off-street parking, will be the new home for Groom & Lavers Solicitors, which was itself established in 1893.
