A southeast Queensland developer has lodged plans for a large housing estate east of Toowoomba, which will create up to 160 new homes if approved.
Applicant Golden Dragon Property submitted the proposal with the Lockyer Valley Regional Council last week for the nine-stage subdivision on Woodlands Road at Gatton.
The report by Precinct Urban Planning said the subdivision would be completed over the next decade.
“Due to the nature and scale of the development, the applicant is seeking a currency period of 10 years to complete all stages,” the report said.
“The site area ranges for the residential lots i.e. 575 sqm to 1163 sqm facilitates a mix and choice of housing options for future development.
“The proposal includes the construction of Hibiscus Road as a higher road with two roundabouts as well as its intersection with Woodlands Road.
“In addition, the development includes the construction of seven new roads as lower roads that will provide access to the proposed residential lots.”
According to its website, Golden Dragon Property has developed land across southeast Queensland, including Toowoomba.
