The latest stage of a major ongoing subdivision in a small town north of Toowoomba has been submitted to the council for approval.
The developers of Parklands Estate in Crows Nest, which has ramped up in recent years following a growth in interest in the booming community, have submitted stage 9A of the project.
According to the report by Precinct Urban Planning, the 22-lot stage will feature parcels between 590 sqm and 1000 sqm.
“The proposed residential lots will take access via Naomi Drive, Parkland Drive and a new road to be created as part of the stage,” the report said.
“Both Parkland and Naomi Drives will be extended as part of the development and the proposed road will run generally east-west and will provide a local connection.
“All roads will comprise bitumen pavement with concrete kerb and channel.”
The submission comes as just one block remains for sale in the previous stage according to Hampton Realty.
“These level blocks feature stunning views of the Crows Nest hills to the west, with absolutely gorgeous sunsets a staple of this ever-popular town,” the agency’s website said.
“Conveniently located just minutes from local shops and amenities these blocks will not last long.”
The subdivision is being rolled out over several years, with co-developer David Haskings noting in 2022 the recent ramp-up was due to increased demand for housing in Crows Nest.
The township has enjoyed an influx of new residents and businesses since Covid-19.
The council has yet to respond to the application with an information request.
