Paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service and fireys from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to a private residence in the early morning after reports of smoke.
Crews arrived at the George St house in Clifton on Monday at 2.13am.
A spokeswoman from QFES said the house was reportedly filled with smoke but by the time crews arrived, the smoke had mostly dissipated.
The spokeswoman said crews were unable to find a cause for the incident but suspected it may have been as a result of an occupant smoking inside the house.
No patients required assessment but paramedics remained on standby.
The incident occurred just hours before fireys worked to extinguish a fire inside a unit in Harristown, which sadly resulted in the death of pets.
