Toowoomba’s former “Macca’s king” Keith Beer has placed his newest development on the market, just months after it was completed.
Mr Beer, who owned several of Toowoomba’s top McDonald’s franchises before selling them recently, finished work last year on the new Pearl Energy service station on the corner of Taylor and Tor streets in Newtown.
Now the new 2800sq m asset has hit the market through Ray White Commercial, with agents Geoff Percy and Craig Bradley fielding inquiries from investors.
Mr Percy said the 10-year lease to Pearl Energy and tax benefits of purchasing a new build had been attractive to potential buyers.
“We’ve had interest from all over Australia, from smaller investors to larger ones from Victoria, Queensland and NSW,” he said.
“It’s a brand-new service station, you’ve got an excellent position on that corner and it’s a long lease with a good tenant.
“We’re still getting inquiries but it’s a blue-chip investment.”
Mr Percy said there was no end date of the campaign, with Mr Beer sizing up the investment market.
Mr Beer had the plans approved by the Toowoomba Regional Council for the servo back in August 2021, with NRG Constructions completing the works.
