41 roadworks, closures to watch out for across the Toowoomba region this week

If you’re heading out on the roads across the region this week, keep an eye out for these works and closures.

Here are roadworks you need to watch out for in the Toowoomba region this week.

The Toowoomba Regional Council regularly keeps a register of roadworks and closures occurring over the next seven days.

Traffic interruptions and road closures may occur in the following areas across the Toowoomba region.

All works are scheduled to be undertaken as advised, weather permitting.

CENTRAL DISTRICT

Biddeston:

Crighton Road – traffic disruptions may occur during gravel resheet works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Walsh Road – traffic disruptions may occur during Gravel resheet and table drain works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Kingsthorpe:

Gowrie Mountain School Road – traffic disruptions may occur during table drain works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Meringandan:

Spies Road – traffic disruptions may occur during a culvert installation. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

North Toowoomba:

Jellicoe Street (Ruthven Street to Brook Street) – closed to westbound traffic during water main works from Monday the 15 March from 6am to 6pm until further notice. Signage and traffic management measures will be place, as required.

Oakey:

Sexton-Weise Road – traffic disruptions may occur during culvert & resheeting works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Williams Road – traffic disruptions may occur during culvert & resheeting works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Janetzki Road – traffic disruptions may occur during culvert & resheeting works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Toowoomba City:

Russell Street (Victoria Street to Ruthven Street) – closed to eastbound traffic from Sunday the 14 February until further notice. Ballin Drive (Mackenzie Street – Stenner Street) – traffic disruptions may occur during asphalt overlay works. 6pm to 6am. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Wilsonton:

McGregor Street (Taylor Street – Bridge Street) – traffic disruptions may occur during asphalt overlay works. 6pm to 6am, until further notice. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Industrial Avenue (Carroll Street – Orford Court) – traffic disruptions may occur during asphalt overlay works. 6pm to 6am, until further notice. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

SOUTHERN DISTRICT

Aubigny:

Oakey Pittsworth Road – traffic disruptions may occur during RMPC works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Brookstead:

Saal Road Stage 2 & 3 – traffic disruptions may occur during road rehabilitation and cement stabilisation works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Cambooya:

Eton Street – minimal traffic disruptions may occur during concrete footpath works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Cecil Plains:

Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road – traffic disruptions may occur during RMPC works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Clifton:

Back Plains Area – traffic disruptions may occur during flood works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required

East Street – traffic disruptions may occur during road profiling and pavement reconstruction works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Dunmore / Western Creek:

Weir River and Dunmore Road – traffic disruptions may occur during Flood work/maintenance grading works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Fysh Road – traffic disruptions may occur during maintenance re-sheeting works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Black Plains area – traffic disruptions may occur during maintenance re-sheeting and REPA works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Anduramba Range Road – closed.

Crows Nest:

William Street – traffic disruptions may occur during footpath maintenance works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Geham:

Kahler Road (Valewood Road to Bushell Road) – closed to through traffic during road construction works. Resident access will be maintained. Signage and traffic detour in place from April to June 2021.

Gilla:

Kooralgin Gila Road – traffic disruptions may occur during road works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.

Groomsville:

Loveday Road – traffic disruptions may occur during road works. Signage and traffic management measures will be in place, as required.
