A 31-YEAR-OLD old Constable from Road Policing Command has been suspended from official duty with the Queensland Police Service.
The officer was convicted in the Roma District Court on November 24, 2016 on one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.
The court sentenced the officer to two years imprisonment, wholly suspended.
The member will now be subject to internal disciplinary action.
The Queensland Police Service said that "in keeping with the commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, the Queensland Police Service has undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct."
