School may be out for the kids, but now pressure is on for the parents to keep their little ones occupied for the next two weeks.
Don’t stress, because The Chronicle has compiled a list of things to do these school holidays that won’t hurt the bank.
1. Cobb+Co Museum
Now is your chance to learn all about your favourite mammals, marsupials and reptiles at the Cobb + Co Museum.
Kids will get the chance to see these animals up close and personal thanks to the museum’s Wildlife Rangers School Holiday program.
This event is on right now and will run until Thursday, April 14, on weekdays only.
With sessions at 10am, 11am and noon each day, you’re sure to be able to have a go, but booking are essential for your chosen time to avoid disappointment.
The museum is open 9.30am to 4pm daily.

2. Little Farmer Humpty Day
Located just an hour east of Toowoomba, families are invited out to the Summer Land Camels farm for a day of fun, laughter and excitement.
Kids farm tours will run throughout the day as they get to meet the friendly camels up close.
They can even have a go at riding a camel, for $20.
The Little Farmer Humpty Day will run April 6, with tickets into the farm only $10, but free for children 3 years and under.

3. Kids Fitness Classes
Is your little one full of energy waiting to be burnt off?
Well how about a friendly kid’s fitness class at Gold’s Gym every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am?
Kids 4 to 12 years old can partake in some group fitness classes that can involve stretching, Boxfit, HIIT, and most importantly, fun!

4. Beginner Croquet lessons
The West Toowoomba Croquet Club is inviting kids of all ages to learn how to play croquet, with morning and afternoon tea provided.
Held on Thursday, April 7, kids can learn the game and have a few of their own from 9am to 3pm, for free.

5. Buck to Bronco Holiday Clinic
Are your kids aged 5 to 13 and crazy about rugby?
Why not send them off to a two-hour holiday coaching clinic at the Clive Berghofer Stadium this Thursday, April 7, from 9am to 11am?
Only costing $49, the price includes the clinic and Buck to Bronco Membership.

6. Queen’s Park
Toowoomba’s Queen’s Park is a must-do for local families, particularly with the large playground off Margaret Street.
The playground features a water section – perfect for those warmer autumn days.

7. Darling Downs Zoo
Want to get out of Toowoomba and surround yourself with animals? Darling Downs Zoo is the place to be.
Kids can now even see one of their favourite Madagascar characters, King Julien, in his new enclosure, with his pals Zola, Ven, Priscilla and Dahlia.

8. Bunya Mountains National Park
Have you ever wanted to visit an actual volcano? Well the Bunya Mountains are the remains of a shield volcano formed about 30 million years ago.
Now, it is home to a variety of species, including the Bunya tree and the red-necked wallabies, and is the perfect spot for a summer stroll.
Take a hike, have a picnic, and enjoy the views of the Darling Downs.
