What started as a conversation between two people – one a supported accommodation provider and the other a manager for another service – has grown into Quality Lifestyle Support (QLS).
QLS today provides support for people with disabilities across various regions including southern Queensland.
The NDIS registered service provides support for its clients in their own homes in the community of their choice and has a presence in Toowoomba and across the Darling Downs and places like Tara, Dalby, Warwick, Goondiwindi, Laidley, Ipswich, Brisbane and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.
As QLS has grown and spread throughout the region so has its dedicated workforce which today numbers more than 200 staff across its facilities.
In the last week, Deputy Mayor Geoff McDonald officially opened the newly refurbished headquarters of QLS in Toowoomba at 108 Mort St.
The extensive renovations and refurbishments have been ongoing for much of last year, being completed in December.
The major project saw the building refurbished from roof to basement and now includes new work stations, meeting rooms, kitchen, reception area all which complements the respite house next door.
The renovations will ensure the growing support requirements of the service’s increasing number of clients and staff will be well catered for into the future.
