A CAR has slammed into a guardrail at the top of the Toowoomba Range.

Emergency services are responding to the single-vehicle incident which is impacting the westbound lanes of the Warrego Highway.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the incident occurred at the top of the Range at Redwood about 5pm.

Motorists are urged to avoid or delay travel if possible, and to be mindful of the wet and windy conditions across Toowoomba.
