Two teens have been charged with multiple offences after they allegedly stole two vehicles from a business in Tully, about 140 km south of Cairns.
Detectives from the Tully Criminal Investigation Branch have alleged the two 17-year-old boys entered a Hort Street business about 3am on October 25, before stealing cash and two all-terrain vehicles.
CIB said the teens drove the quad bikes through a glass window as they exited the business.
Police tracked the stolen all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) a short distance away, where they then located the teenagers driving the quad bikes, before they were taken into custody.
Officers further allege one of the vehicles crashed a short distance away, before it was abandoned.
Both Tully boys were charged with two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, and one count each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and attempted enter dwelling with intent.
They are due to appear in the Tully Children's Court on Thursday October 31.
