Police appeal after car hits E-scooter rider

Police are appealing for information following a traffic crash in Cairns on March 14 which left a 60-year-old with serious injuries.

Police are appealing for information following a traffic crash in Cairns on March 14 which left a 60-year-old with serious injuries.

Investigations indicate, about 4.35pm a blue MG MG3 has struck a E-scooter that was travelling south along McLeod Street as the E-scooter attempted to turn right on Spence Street.

A 60-year-old Edmonton man, the rider of the E-scooter, was transported to Cairns Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the MG MG3, a 37-year-old Bungalow woman, was not physically injured and is assisting police with their inquires.

Anyone with relevant information or vision is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
