Emergency services fighting house fire in Tully

Fire crews have fought to extinguish a fierce blaze at a two-storey home on the Cassowary Coast.

Fire crews have fought to extinguish a fierce blaze at a home on the Cassowary Coast.

Firefighters were called to the house fire at Mars Street, Tully, at 11.49am on Sunday which was engulfed in flames.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the two-storey home was “well-involved” when fire crews arrived, and a further three crews had attended the scene to assist.

Queensland Police Service and Queensland Ambulance Service officers were also on scene.

Firefighters contained the fire at 12:55pm and completely extinguished the fire at 1:45pm and handed over to police around 2:30pm.

The QFES spokeswoman confirmed all occupants were out of the house and accounted for.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
