A child has been taken to hospital with a head injury following a two-vehicle crash in Manunda on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Anderson Street in Manunda at 3.03pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman confirmed one male child was transported in stable condition to Cairns hospital.
“A child with bruises on the back of their head has been taken to hospital,” the spokeswoman said.
“He’s stable and fine, it’s just a precaution.”
Fire crews were on hand to make the scene safe, according to a spokesman.
“One vehicle is being towed and the other one is being driven from the scene,” the spokesman said.
It comes one day after two men died in a car crash near Innisfail and a separate incident on Monday when a truck driver allegedly caused an 11 car pile up on the Kennedy Highway near Kuranda.
