ONE of the key players in the consortium selected to build the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing says the project will strengthen its presence in the Australian market.
ACCIONA, a global infrastructure and renewable energy group, is a member of the Nexus consortium.
On Friday, that consortium was named as the preferred tenderer for the design, construction, financing, operation and management of the $1.6b Toowoomba Second Range Crossing.
ACCIONA, as part of the Transcity consortium, built the $1.5b Legacy Way tunnel in Brisbane.
It won the Lord Mayor's 2012 Award for Business Innovation, in recognition of its technical excellence.
