Truck fire shuts down Sturt Highway between Hay South and Maude in NSW

A truck fire has shut down a major stretch of highway, with emergency services on scene now.

A major NSW highway has been shut down in both directions due to a truck fire.

The Sturt Highway is now closed between Hay South and Maude.

The stretch between Archer Street in Hay South and Maude Road in Maude is closed.

Drivers in both directions have been told to avoid the area and use Lachlan Street (Cobb Highway), Cadell Street and Maude Road instead.

Emergency services and traffic crews are responding at the scene.
