Police have arrested a 15-year-old girl for allegedly carjacking a teacher in a high school carpark at knifepoint.

A 15-year-old girl has been charged after allegedly carjacking a teacher in a high school carpark while armed with a knife in Melbourne’s southeast.
Police understand the teenager was armed with a knife when she approached a woman in her car at Berwick College shortly after 8.30am on April 29.
The teenager allegedly demanded the teacher hand over the keys to her silver Ford Focus.
The woman handed over the keys to the teenager, who then sped off in the car.
“The woman was not physically injured,” a police spokesman told NewsWire.
A Department of Education spokesperson told NewsWire students and teachers impacted by the alleged incident could access wellbeing support.
“The safety of students and staff is our top priority,” they said.
“There is no place for violence or weapons of any kind at our schools.”
Authorities attended the school and advised staff that timetables could resume as normal.
Police later located and arrested a 15-year-old girl in Frankston, where the Ford Focus was discovered.
She has been charged with aggravated carjacking and is due to face a children’s court at a later date.
