Another shopping centre has been the scene of knife violence, with a teen allegedly stabbed in a melee.
Emergency services rushed to the Elizabeth Shopping Centre at Adelaide’s north about 2.30pm on Wednesday on reports of a disturbance between a group of youths near the food court.
South Australian Police said a teen was allegedly stabbed in the torso during the fight, with paramedics rushing him to hospital with serious injuries.
Police have arrested three teens, a 17-year-old, 16-year-old and 14-year-old, for alleged involvement in the fracas.
It is expected the boys will be charged later on Wednesday, police said.
Mobile phone footage of the incident shows several teenagers fighting, with three of them carrying knives.
“Police are investigating the incident and will review CCTV footage to identify other people involved in the assault,” the police said.
“There was no disruption caused to centres trading.
In June, a brawl between teenagers in a food court triggered a lockdown at Adelaide’s Marion Westfield shopping centre.
