PARAMEDICS had a busy day responding to traffic crashes throughout the Darling Downs and surrounding area.
At about 12.30am a 70-year-old woman crashed into a tree on the New England highway, at Ballandean.
She sustained minor injuries and required a trip to the Stanthorpe Hospital.
Shortly before 3am a man crashed near the intersection of the Warrego Highway and Watt St in Dalby.
He was hospitalised with minor injuries.
About half and hour later, in Toowoomba, six young people aged in their late teens and early 20s crashed a Nissan Skyline into a tree on Jellicoe St.
Four patients were sent to the Toowoomba Hospital.
Two are in a critical condition, with one suffering chest and leg injuries while the second has abdominal injuries.
Two patients were also transported to St Vincent's Hospital.
They include a teenage male with spinal and leg injuries and an adult with spinal and abdominal injuries.
The Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
At about 11.50am two cars collided near the intersection of Clarke St and Kuhls Rd, at Highfields.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics assessed three patients and all were uninjured.
Sadly, paramedics were called back to Jellicoe St, near Ruthven St, about 3pm.
Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash.
The QAS spokeswoman said two required a trip to hospital after they sustained minor injuries.
The remining three patients declined a transport.
