1. Come From Away
Come From Away, a musical that follows the incredible true story about the small Canadian community that took in thousands of stranded aeroplane passengers in the wake of 9/11, and it premieres on Friday, March 14 and runs until March 23 at The Empire Theatre.

2. Holi Colourfest
It’s a multicultural festival you won’t want to miss with an array of vibrant food stalls, colour play zone, live entertainment, cultural performances and more!
The event will be held on Saturday March 15 at UniSQ Oval 1 from 11am-5pm.
Entry is free, however registration is required to secure your spot.
3. Wyreema Wanderer
Grab the family and join DownsSteam for a Super Saturday filled with steam train rides, Museaum tours and a sausage sizzle. The historic train will ride between Drayton and Wyreema on Saturday March 15. Get your tickets in at www.downssteam.com.
4. Axe throwing
Gather your mates and head down to the Axe n Dagger at 57 Brook St for an afternoon of axe and dagger throwing, then head next door to Mouse Proof Brewery for a schooner.
5. Fitzy’s Go Green Sunday Sesh
Celebrate St Patrick’s Day in style at Fitzy’s on Sunday, March 16 for an afternoon of live music, Irish classics and free face-painting.
6. Catch a movie
If you’re in the mood for a Rom-com then the new Bridget Jones film has you covered, or why not venture into the world of Sci-Fi with Robert Patterson’s latest Mickey 17, or for the young-at-heart catch Captain America: Brave New World showing at Grand Central cinemas this weekend.
7. Go for a hike
Explore the regions many walking trails and soak up the sun while taking in breathtaking views from Table Top Mountain, Redwood Park, Mount Peel and Ravensbourne National Park.
8. Visit a cafe
Toowoomba is home to a vast array of cafe’s and delicious bakery’s just waiting for customer to flock through the doors and enjoy a bite to eat.
9. Picnic in the park
Grab a picnic blanket and your family and friends and head to one of the region’s picturesque parks, with the likes of Laurel Bank Park, Queens Park, Picnic Point, Queensland Rose Garden or Ravensbourne National Park.

Stock up on fresh produce and homemade goodies for your weekend celebrations at one of Toowoomba’s quality markets.
Every Saturday Toowoomba Farmers’ Market is as 27 Lindsay St, East Toowoomba (near the windmills at Cobb Co Museum) from 7am to 12pm, and every Sunday the Toowoomba PCYC Market is at 219 James St from 7am to 12.30pm.
