A teenage girl has been taken to hospital after a bus broke down on Wednesday afternoon in south Toowoomba.
Emergency services were called out to Ramsay Street and Nelson Rd in Middle Ridge at 4.20pm on Wednesday after a bus broke down, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman confirmed no one was trapped in the bus.
In what was reported as a mechanical failure, a teenage girl was left with burns to her lower legs and taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.
Two other teenage girls were assessed, but did not require hospitalisation, she said.
Police were on scene directing traffic as the bus, run by Bus Queensalnd, a commercial company providing and school and urban services for southeast Queensland, was towed away.
