The producers hoped this would cause huge drama, but it fizzled before it even began

A shocking twist involving intruder bride Jade Pywell and original groom Jayden Eynaud was unexpectedly left out of the episode of Jade's wedding to self-confident Ridge.

The untold drama unfolded at the intruder's wedding, where Jade and Jayden, in an unforeseen twist, recognised each other right as Jade entered the ceremony.

Gold Coast connection

The pair had a prior connection, having worked together at a Gold Coast bar. Jayden, handling security, and Jade, serving drinks, found themselves in the close-knit social scene of the Gold Coast's restaurant and club circuit. 

Aware of the potential clash between Jayden and his bride, Eden Harper, producers quickly stirred the pot by separating the two, anticipating dramatic fireworks. 

But despite the palpable tension, the expected clash never materialised, leaving the producers with a fizzled storyline.

Friendship over romance

Despite producers' efforts to ignite a romantic spark between Jade and Jayden, the anticipated love story never blossomed. 

Instead, Jade and Eden formed a fast friendship, leaving the producers with little substance for the aired episode. 

The confusing scenario left the cast members speculating with little payoff.

The entire situation, charged with tension on the day, lacked the substance needed to make it to air, leaving the cast members puzzled and the viewers missing out on a potential love saga. 

An insider revealed that the scenario was confusing for everyone involved, with much speculation but little payoff.

Are Jade and Ridge still together?

While it's too early to tell, we did do a little investigating of our own to figure out if this couple are still living their happily ever after.

The pair follow each other on Instagram, which surely only means the couple is going strong, right?

According to leaked photos, an online photo shows the pair also spent New Year's Eve together.

Ridge also started an Instagram account dedicated to his adopted corgi, and guess who is a follower?

Jade!

We'll have to wait and see, but until then, we know any attempts at drama between Jade and Jayden aren't on the cards.
