The bizarre reason Kim K blowdries her jewellery before she wears it

Celebrities are just like us, except when they are not! 

No one is surprised to hear that Kim Kardashian has some particular quirks, but this newest revelation is making people's heads tilt (even more than usual). 

While getting glam for her Swarovski x Skims launch event, Kim revealed in The Kardashians episode that she blow-dries her jewellery because she "can't stand putting on something freezing." 

The camera then panned to show the gem-covered two-piece she wore to the November 2023 celebration. "It's all crystals, so we have to blow-dry the whole thing so it gets warm," Kim explained. 

“Look at my outfit,” she continued, directing the attention to her fully embellished look for the night. “It’s, like, all crystals, so we have to blow-dry the whole thing so it goes on warm.”

"I just need it warm"

As it turns out, the trick isn’t just reserved for jewels. The fashion and beauty entrepreneur noted that she also put a blow dryer in her bed and turned it on low for extra warmth.

Her glam team confessed that Kim likes it hot all of the time. Her longtime makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, revealed that the hotel suite she was getting dressed in "was boiling."

This isn't the first time Kim has spoken publicly about her preference to heat her jewellery before wearing it. She told Jimmy Kimmel, "Like anything with a zipper, I just need it warm and then put it on."

Kim and Kourtney were Madonna's dog walkers

Kim had a few more confessions to share on her Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance. The star also revealed that she used to be Madonna's dog walker; she and Kourtney would take her dogs for a stroll after school. 

"She was my next-door neighbour when I was about seven or eight years old," she revealed. I was her dog walker. Kourtney and I would walk her dog after school in exchange for her jewellery."

"She was transitioning out of the ‘80s neon phase, so one day, she just walked downstairs and handed us a shoebox of all these neon bracelets," she continued. "Kourtney and I went to school, and everyone was like, 'Oh my God, I love your bracelets!' And we were like, 'Thanks, Madonna gave them to us.'"

Even back then, they were already in the limelight.

"It's like nails on a chalkboard"

Another "diva demand" Kim was proud of was having someone remove the sleeve off her Starbucks coffee. The American Horror Story star admits she hates the sound of cardboard.

Hard relate Kim.

The talk show host asked her whether it's true that she instructs staff to do the deed, because she "hates the sound of cardboard."

Kim said, "Yes, it’s true," she told Jimmy Kimmel. And I hate the feeling, the sound, and the way the cardboard gets moved off the cup. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me."

She then added that she asks them to do it away from her view so she doesn't have to witness the moment.

But wait, there's one more fun fact that Kim K admitted was true. She sleeps with her eyes slightly open. And how does she know?

"There's footage because my sisters have taken videos and pictures," she told Jimmy, and clarified that despite this peculiar habit, she doesn't suffer from dry eyes.
