It seems even an Irwin isn’t immune to being embarrassed by their mum as the I’m A Celeb presenter is left red-faced in front of a crowd.

We all know it’s the job of a parent to embarrass their kids.

Whether we do it intentionally or not, there comes a time (or a decade) when just merely opening our mouths leaves our kids mortified as they pray the earth opens up and swallows them whole.

It seems even Robert Irwin isn’t immune to such embarrassment after he was left blushing over the weekend thanks to an X-rate comment from his mum.

Terri gets saucy 

The mother-son duo were on stage together at the VMX 2024 veterinary conference in Orlando, Florida, over the weekend when a fan declared they had a Steve Irwin tattoo.

This admission resulted in the wildlife warrior and mum-to-two making an X-rated comment that we know Robert would have wished she didn’t.

“It seems like there’s more than one person who has a tattoo of Steve, and I was really impressed because I don’t have a tattoo of Steve,” she told the crowd. “I have a tattoo that says ‘Steve was here’. I don’t think I can show it to you.”

“Anyway! Alright!”

It took a moment for Robert to realise what his mum was saying before he made a beeline in the opposite direction with his head in his hands.

As any embarrassed kid would do, he begged his mum to change the subject where he could be heard yelling, “Anyway! Alright!”

While this may have been a moment he wished he wasn’t witness to, Robert has his own significant other to gush over.

The 20-year-old animal lover and conservationist recently shared with news.com.au that his girlfriend, Rorie Buckly, is making life “that much sweeter”.

“I think life is awesome for me every single second of every day,” he revealed. “But when love is part of life, every single thing is so much sweeter, so much nicer, and you take that time to enjoy every single moment. We are extremely happy.”

After posting a loved-up pic to his Instagram over the holidays, fans across the world are convinced the young Irwin may be ready to pop the question.

"Can I get an invite when y’all get married?" one fan wrote. 

"Waiting for the engagement post," teased another.

"You two seem like the perfect match, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if an engagement is forthcoming," stated one fan-turned-potential psychic. 

We just we’ll just have to wait and see if he’ll pop a ‘croc’ on her ring anytime soon.
