The new trailer has no dialogue, but it's one small noise that has everyone in tatters.

One final game

Following much anticipation from fans, a brand new teaser trailer has been released for the third and final season of Squid Game.

If you don’t remember, the last season wrapped up with the failure of the rebellion, which saw the death of Jung-bae at the hands of The Front Man, as best friend Seong Gi-hun/Player 456 was forced to watch.

But, apparently that’s not enough blood on his hands, with the games set to continue into season 3.

Everything you need to know

The trailer, which has no dialogue, opens with our favourite (not) pink guards bringing the remaining contestants a gift that not everyone is happy about - Seong Gi-hun, in a coffin used for fallen players.

In a season 2 finale breakdown with the show’s creator, we found out that Gi-hun would be found at a crossroads in season 3, having lost everything.

“What state is Gi-hun going to be in? And what will he choose to do? Will he continue on with the mission? Is he going to give up or persist?” Hwang Dong-hyuk told Variety.

The characters are then seen selecting coloured balls at random - blue or red - splitting them into two teams.

Families and friends who have become family, are torn apart, with the mother-son duo Geum-ja and Yong-sik most notably split.

And, if that wasn’t heartbreaking enough, then we hear it - the cry of a baby.

“Just shattered my soul!”

Needless to say, the trailer has people in absolute shambles, and absolutely crushed at the thought of Kim Jun-hee's baby being born in the games.

“That baby cry and seeing the mum and son looking at each other like that just sent chills down my spine,” said one commenter.

“No dialogue needed and it still gives me chills. That baby cry at the end, omg I’m fearing for 222; who’s gonna take care of the baby whether she dies or not,” said another.

“The Squid Game Season 3 teaser just shattered my soul. The tension, the chaos, the silence before the scream, this isn’t a show anymore, it’s psychological warfare,” another agreed.

What happens next?

Everyone has their theories on what they think will happen in the next season.

Whilst after the first short teaser from January, viewers were convinced the last game would be jump rope or monkey bars, people are now putting their money on hide-and-seek, or deadly laser tag.

“The son and the grandma against each other in laser tag is heartbreaking,” said one commenter.

“I’m pretty sure there’s blue and red team in the gumball machine and they are selected randomly, and they have to fight to win. It's basically laser tag. I'm sure the red team will win because almost all the main characters are in the red team,” another agreed.

“See the two symbols one is a knife one is a keyhole! Team blue must hide and team red seeks,” another suggested.

But, as for who’ll make it out alive? We’ll just have to wait and see.

When can I watch it?!

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long before we find out the truth, with season 3 set to hit Netflix June 27.
