'My mum babysits my kids but leaves my house in a state'

"That's so not fair on you! She’s gonna have to pull her finger out," one commenter said after seeing the mess. 

A woman has left the internet with their jaws on the floor after sharing the state her mum left her home in after babysitting her kids. 

Mum Jess took to TikTok to share her quick cleaning routine after finishing work, but viewers were focused on the glaringly obvious issue—that her mum left such a mess for her to tidy!

In the now-deleted clip, Jess explained that she was hard at work over the weekend while her mum and sister were home with her kids.

"Now it looks like a bomb has gone off in it," she narrates while panning around the kitchen floor, which is hardly visible under the clothes strewn everywhere and dirty dishes piled up.

There was mess in every room of the house

To get the house back in order, Jess starts by putting a load of washing on and doing the dishes that have been sitting around for days.

She then gets to work on the living room, where the mess was equally as bad. 

There was even more clothes splayed out on the sofas, because "mum seems to put all the clean clothes [here] and never ends up putting them in a basket."

Moving into the utility room, the situation gets even more dire, if you can believe it.

"My mum can never seem to manage to put any of the towels back in the drawer properly," Jess says as she carefully folds them and places them inside the cupboard.

"I would cry"

The video quickly racked up nearly a million views and 15k likes, and the comments became a battleground of judgement (for Jess's mum and sister). 

"No way would my mum dream of leaving my house in that state. I would cry if I walked into that," one stunned viewer shared.

Another replied: "That is so unhelpful of your mum I’m sorry, my mum would NEVER do that to me to make my job twice as hard. It’s not fair on your children! She’s gonna have to pull her finger out."

"My mum comes and makes my house better, not worse," a third chimed in.

"My mum will never leave my house like this," yet another user claimed.

"I could never leave my daughter's house like that, knowing she is out working hard; they need to help you," someone else concluded.
