Jade Tuncdoruk swiftly deleted a video calling out influencers who use a sneaky trick after a glaring double standard was pointed out.

Jade Tuncdoruk deletes video roasting influencers

Jade Tuncdoruk has deleted a video roasting other influencers who aren’t transparent with followers after being called out for her apparent “double standards”.

The embattled Sydney influencer was widely criticised for weaponising her audience to leverage a refund from a small business, despite the fact she wasn’t entitled to one, back in January.

Days later she was further lambasted when racist comments she had made previously about UberEats drivers resurfaced on Instagram.

Despite the fact she’s no stranger to controversy, Tuncdoruk posted a video on Saturday calling out a sneaky trick many influencers pull when they’re trying to hide the fact their content is sponsored.

But when a news.com.au reporter pointed out the obvious issue with her video, Tuncdoruk deleted the clip and blocked the journalist.

In the now-deleted clip, Tuncdoruk begins by acting out a common inquiry followers make to influencers, asking for outfit details.

“Hey, can you please tag your shirt, love it. X,” she says, to the sound of a clicking keyboard.

Tuncdoruk – who issued an apology for the way she’s “conducted” herself online following last month’s scandal – then acts out the influencer’s response to the follower request.

“I did?” she says in an aggressive tone.

She then returns to portraying the follower, who is confused by the influencer’s response.

“What? Where? She hasn’t written anything.”

Tuncdoruk then shares a photo mocking a common influencer pose, before zooming in to reveal a tiny brand credit in a colour that makes it impossible to see.

The video appears to not have sat well with followers, being swiftly deleted minutes after comments began pointing out the glaring double standards.

Others agreed the common act was “so annoying”, with one writing: “This always happens omgggg.”

Tuncdoruk found herself in hot water last month after she accused a small-business owner of “theft” and threatened to take him to Fair Trading when he refused to offer her a full refund on her honeymoon stay.

Anonymous influencer watchdog Celeb Spellcheck accused the fashion blogger of weaponising her audience to leverage a refund from the small business, pointing out the fact she wasn’t entitled to one by sharing the terms and conditions of the booking.

Days later, racist comments she made in 2017 about “annoying non-English speaking delivery drivers” resurfaced on Instagram.

Tuncdoruk’s management, Sydney-based influencer agency MAXCONNECTERS, told The Daily Telegraph at the time her position was “under review”.

It appears after issuing an apology, her lucrative brand deals have continued.

She’s recently been posting about attending several luxury brand events and boasted about taking her mum on an all-expenses paid trip to Paris.
