'I don't need you': Woman shares unhinged note from boss

“The icing on this sh*t cake is that she signed the letter in... pink pen?”

Bus seat drama: Who should've stood up?

At some point in your working life, everyone is bound to have at least one bad boss - someone who may be great at their job, but perhaps just isn’t up to management.

But, there’s a difference between someone who’s just not great at what they do, and whatever it is this person has been doing.

A Reddit user has taken to the platform exposing a note given to them by their boss after resigning from the job, and this one’s a doozy.

When a good relationship turns sour

A Reddit user has taken to the platform exposing the poor behaviour of a former boss.

The woman said she and her former boss worked together at an old job, and ended up coming back together in a new opportunity after she was specifically pursued for the role.

“I moved back to our home state, and she heavily pursued me to work for her at her small business (since she was familiar with my work ethic and we had a good working relationship previously),” the poster wrote.

After OP accepted the job, she was told she had the boss’ ‘complete trust’ as her office manager. But, three years later, she ended up quitting with no notice, citing constantly changing goal posts, micromanaging, and ‘constant verbal beatdowns’.

She asked her boss to mail her her final pay slip, and she never could have guessed what would be enclosed.

“You thank me for the opportunity then spit in my face”

Along with her pay slip came an angry note from her former boss, which was salty to say the least.

“I hope you find something that suits you better,” the note reads.

“I knew in my heart of hearts that this was coming. I knew you would talk yourself into this being my fault. I’m also not surprised that you did it in the way you did. Leaving me/the agency high and dry has been your way over the entirety of your employment.

“You thank me for the opportunity then spit in my face. You definitely worked over the last year to get yourself into a position where you thought I would need you. I don’t need you.

“I made this agency and I will keep it thriving without you.

“I consider our personal and professional relationship at its conclusion.”

“Good on you for leaving!”

Needless to say, OP was completely mortified by the note.

“The icing on this sh*t cake is that she signed the letter in... pink pen?” she wrote.

“It's so unprofessional on so many different levels, I can't help but laugh now that the dust has settled.”

And, commenters agreed - it was all for the better.

“Good for you for leaving. But this note probably adds an extra 10 weeks of healing time alone. God how awful. Onward and upward,” said one commenter.

“Unhinged is right! Also, very revealing. They feel they need you, they've made that quite clear. Don't walk, run! to your new life without this manipulative nonsense,” another agreed.
