Miami Swim Week 2022: Naked bikinis and sexy swimmers

A model at Miami Swim Week had onlookers doing a double take with a very revealing outfit – and it’s easy to see how some thought she was naked.

Miami Swim Week 2021: Catwalk shows praised for ‘inclusivity’

Just when we thought Miami Swim Week 2022 was done for another year, a jaw-dropping new bikini trend has emerged.

The five-day event saw the return of duct tape bikinis and introduced an even smaller version of the itsy bitsy “loincloth” bikini.

However, another revealing bikini style that appeared at the famous runway show is now getting a lot of attention online after it was shared by the model who wore it.

Lilbb Momo strutted her stuff at The Menz show on July 18 wearing a white mesh micro bikini.

But while you’d be forgiven for thinking it leaves little to the imagination when viewed from the front – after all there is definitely plenty of underboob – wait until you look at it from the back.

Photos of the blonde model walking on the catwalk show the minuscule swimsuit was completely see-through at the back.

The white mesh cossie is transformed into a “naked bikini” using transparent straps on the bra and G-string bottoms, making it look like she is wearing nothing at all except her knee-high boots.

Social media users lost their minds over the daring look, with one writing: “Deadass took my breath away.”

“Thought you were naked,” said another.

Others flooded the comments section of her Instagram with praise and a string of flame emojis.

“Scrumpdillyumptious,” one said.

“Holy moly,” added another.

“You’re flawless,” someone else declared.

The white number wasn’t the only jaw-dropping cossie from The Menz, a new fashion label from US designer Tyra “Jiggie”.

One model in the show walked the runway wearing black bikini bottoms and a white flowing top, before turning around to reveal the back of the bottoms were also transparent.

Another model, Beth Walkemeyer revealed she had an “accident” when walking the runway in a skimpy pink one-piece from the Audrey Monae collection.

The bright swimming costume featured a sexy cut out across the stomach and a G-string bottom – but things didn’t go to plan with Beth’s fluffy jacket.

“One of my favourite looks from #miamiswimweek at @flyingsolonyc shows,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Had an accident on the runway when I removed the jacket and pulled the string of the swimsuit, had my iconic moment, Can’t wait to see the footage.”

Meanwhile, designer Megan Mae Stevens wore a tiny black bikini when she walked in the show for her own swimwear label.

The black two-piece had a racy mesh detailing that flashed the flesh as well as a G-string, proving bum-flashing bottoms are a popular new swimwear design.

“Fun to not only be the designer of your own line but to walk for your line as well. Here’s to all the girls under 175 cms,” she captioned a clip of herself in the itty bitty number.

Earlier in the week, an extreme take on the “loincloth” bikini trend dazzled spectators with its teeny tiny nature.

Australian swimwear brand VDM The Label featured multiple “loincloth” bikinis, in an array of colours including pink, blue and orange.

One model strutted her stuff in a skimpy floral print loincloth and matching itsy bitsy bra, while another rocked the design with an “upside down” bikini top in a bright turquoise blue.

Controversial duct tape bikinis. also made a comeback at Miami Swim Week 2022.

However this year, the barely-there garments – created by Black Tape Project – appeared to be skimpier than ever.

A parade of models wearing the sticky tape designs strutted their stuff in front of a packed audience – with one revealing on Instagram it took 12 hours to get into her “bikini”.

“Second time walking for @blacktapeproject. Thank you Joel, and to the outstanding team behind all of this hard work – 12 hours taping and just 30 sec walking. It is an honour to be wearing your art,” Chanel Rivera wrote.

Chanel’s swimmers were in an intricate design that just about covered her modesty, but put her entire body on full display.

The black tape snaked up her left leg and around her wrists, covering her bust and crotch areas and little else.

Another model’s “bikini” was equally as jaw-dropping, in a minuscule Borat-style one-piece that left little to the imagination.
