ALDI's Cricut dupes are coming
As part of the Haberdashery, Allergy Relief & Gardening Special Buys sale dropping on Wednesday 6th September, ALDI is releasing a heap of Cricut dupes to help you get those creative juices flowing.
The sale includes a Mini Crafting Iron for $29.99, which rivals Cricut's $119 Easy Press Mini, and many creatives are hitting private Facebook pages to see if the bargain item is actually as good as people who have purchased it before claim it is.
"In the new ALDI catalogue I got today. Interesting. Wonder what the quality would be like?" one person posted in the Cricut For Australians Facebook page with a snapshot of ALDI's recent catalogue.
And the good news is, the reviews were mostly positive.
"I bought one last year and absolutely love it," one customer shared.
"I have one and it’s amazing," another fan chimed in.
"I have one.. works just as well as my Mini Press," another added.
And another said the bargain price was a no-brainer: "At this price I think it would be well worth buying and seeing the quality! I believe they have a pretty good returns policy or at least they used to."

Cutting mats and vinyl at a bargain price
While people were catching up on the reviews of the mini iron (apparently it's a great travel accessory too - not just for craft!), others couldn't get over just how cheap the ALDI's vinyl was.
The sale includes $5.99 rolls of various vinyl colours compared to Cricut's original vinyl selling from $14 upwards at Spotlight depending on sizing and type.
Craft enthusiasts were keen to try them as well as the cutting mat, which is also a decent amount for the original.
"I’m keen to try the mats. The Cricut ones are so darn expensive & don’t seem to last long," a woman shared.
But that's not taking anything away from the quality of the actual Cricut brand - the woman admitted it could be because of her hit and miss creations.
"Probably because I’m a newbie and have so many fails that I need to scrape off."
Will you give them a go?
