Wild or windy, hot or cold, comedy, train ride, or a moment to bless the little paws of your pets, here’s 10 things on in Toowoomba this weekend.

1. One Frame Stamp Exhibition

This stamp extravaganza goes from early Saturday morning to late Sunday afternoon, and will showcase 47 stamp collections from around the stage to be judged by the Australian Philatelic Federation.

Opening at 9am, Saturday, October 12 at Toowoomba Indoor Bowls Club.

2. Comedy for a Cause

Supporting Women in Harmony, Toowoomba’s multicultural and multilingual women’s choir, profits from the laughs made at Club Toowoomba from 7pm on Saturday, October 12 will help keep the choir operating.

18+ only, tickets are $35

3. Blessing of Pets Service

All Saints Church are putting on a heavenly pet service at 3pm, Saturday, October.

Understanding some pets are a little shy or old to join, the church offers a ‘remote’ blessing if you can join with a photo of them.

4. Annual Championship Rose Show

Aptly named after the well-loved flower, the Rose Cottage in Newtown Park will be all in bloom with roses on both days this weekend.

Entry is via a gold coin donation, and the venue has wheelchair access.

5. Pittsworth Craft and Fine Food Spectacular

Centenary Park in Pittsworth comes to life this weekend with arts, crafts, and even a train ride to Brookstead.

The spectacle starts on Friday, but will continue to 4pm Saturday afternoon.

6. Makers Markets

Pick up a bargain, find a niche fragrance, and nibble on some tasty treats, the Makers Market will be filling up the Goods Shed on Sunday from 8am – 1pm

7. Commissioner Rail Motor Train Tour

Head full steam into the weekend with a train ride from the past and explore some of the iconic landscapes of the Darling Downs.

This nostalgic journey leaves at 11am on Saturday, October 12, and will take you on to explore the crafts and delicacies of the food and craft festival at Pittsworth.

8. Next Gen 7s

Don’t miss the action of when the Qld Reds go head to head with the NSW Waratahs this Saturday from 9.30am at Toowoomba Sports Ground.

9. Parkrun

Tighten those laces and hit those fitness goals with an early morning 5km run through Toowoomba’s festive flower park.

Runners take their mark at 7am on Saturday morning in Queens Park.

10. Markets

Stock up on gifts, groceries and goodies at the Saturday Cobb and Co Markets, or Sunday’s PCYC James St Markets.
