With crisp mornings and dappled cloud cover predicted this weekend, conditions will be perfect to bundle together your family or friends and head to one of the many things on around Toowoomba.

1. Queensland Outdoor Adventure Expo

Whether you’re a seasoned camper, or are just getting into the world of four-wheel-driving, head down to Toowoomba Showgrounds for the Queensland Outdoor Adventure Expo. Running all weekend from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28, gates open from 8.30am before wrapping up at 4pm. 2. Cabarlah Markets

The Toowoomba region is spoiled for choice when it comes to markets. If you’re looking to branch out and try a new market, head to Cabarlah Sports Ground on Sunday morning from 7.30am to 12.30pm for stalls, food, and entertainment.

3. Journey to the past at Highfields Pioneer Village

It might be a surprising fact that in the short space of a 30 minute drive, Toowoomba residents can travel back to experience life as it was more than a century ago. Highfields Pioneer Village will have their exhibitions open on Sunday, so guests can enjoy billy tea and damper, the ambulance museum, miniature steam train rides, vintage bus tours, and historic fire engines. There will also be ice cream and sausage sizzles. Admission is $21.50 for adults, and tickets can be purchased at the gate.

4. Winter Twilight Markets

Find unique treasures at the Winter Twilight Market at the Goods Shed in Toowoomba on Sunday. The market will open at 3pm, with food, music and more than 100 stalls keeping the vibe warm and lively until 8pm.

5. Toowoomba’s Endless Edit

If you’re in need of a wardrobe refresh, head to Toowoomba’s Endless Edit at the Toowoomba Masonic Centre on Sunday. The preloved clothing market will be open from 8am to 12pm, with only a $2 entry fee standing between you and a fabulous fashion find.

6. DownsSteam’s Clifton Clipper

DownsSteam’s commissioner car will make two journeys on Sunday, both bound for the iconic Clifton Station. For $89.64 per person, guests can travel aboard the historic train, rattle through the picturesque countryside, and enjoy morning or afternoon tea at Clifton Station. 7. Westbrook Wheels show and shine

Whether you have a car you’d like to flaunt, or you have a keen appreciation for cars and bikes, head down to Centenary Park at Westbrook to be part of the Westbrook Wheels show and shine. Public entry starts at 9am on Saturday for a gold coin donation.

8. Beginners photography class

If you’re looking to learn the basics of photography, this weekend’s beginner photography class might be for you. For $148, a professional photographer will show you tips and tricks of the trade against the backdrop of Toowoomba’s idyllic Picnic Point. 9. Southern Suburbs Ladies Day

If you’re a Southern Suburbs Rugby League supporter, Saturday is the day to head to Gold Park Sporting Club for ladies day. Entry is $40, but with so many activities, entertainment and prizes on offer, its surely an unmissable event. Ladies Day, hosted by Daimler Trucks Toowoomba, will kick off at 2pm.

10. Free Men’s BBQ hosted by Mr Perfect

Making friends as an adult is tough, but Mr Perfect’s men’s barbecue at Lake Annand park could be the perfect opportunity for men to get out there. It’s a free activity running from 10.30am until 12.30pm on Saturday.
