Some of the Toowoomba region’s most talented young musicians will be playing a selection of music from the latest superhero movies.

The Toowoomba Regional Youth Orchestra’s Super Summer Music Camp Concert will be held at the Empire Theatre’s Armitage Centre on Wednesday January 20 from 6.30pm.

The pieces performed will be the culmination of the work completed by the participants during a day camp next week.

Speaking in December, TRYO conductor Tim Gray said he hoped for about 60 young people aged between 12 and 25 to be at the camp.

Music will include compositions from the Marvel and DC Cinematic Universes, as well Disney’s The Incredibles.

The day camp was made possible by funding from the Toowoomba Regional Council’s Community Access Fund.

Tickets to the concert are $15 and can be bought at the Empire Theatre website.

Planning underway for music camp
