1. Festive Twilight Market
Where: Mills Precinct, 261-291 Ruthven St
When: Saturday, 4-9pm
A special Festive Twilight Market will be held at the Mills Precinct today from 4-9pm, showcasing the region’s gifted makers.
The boutique market will also include face painting for the kids and a visit from the big man himself.
There will also be free entertainment, free parking, and food.
2. Gallery opening
Where: 482 Ruthven St, Toowoomba City
When: Saturday, 4pm
The Alexandra Lawson Gallery is a Toowoomba-based gallery dedicated to supporting local artists and sharing their work.
Today, the ALG is opening its own dedicated gallery space in Ruthven Street at 4pm.
The new space will feature artists Peta Berghofer, Hayley Megan French, Kyle Jenkins, Rhi Johnson, Tarn McLean, Catherine Parker, Sandy Pottinger, Jude Roberts, Sarah Ryan, Tiffany Shafran, Stephen Spurrier, David Usher and Monica Usher.

3. Toowoomba Christmas Tree Festival
Where: Baker St, Darling Heights
When: Saturday, 5.30pm to 8.30pm
Come and enjoy the USQ Student Guild Christmas tree Festival!
Entry is via a gold coin donation, with funds raised going to the Loads of Love Christmas appeal.
There are 20 beautiful pine Christmas trees on display from local schools and community groups, who have kindly donated their time to decorate them.
Attendees can vote for their favourite.
There will also be free iceblocks donated by Home Ice-Cream.
4. Toowoomba Farmers Market
Where: Corner of Campbell St and Lindsay St, Toowoomba
When: Saturday, 7am-noon
The Toowoomba Farmers Market is on again today, featuring dozens of stores selling seasonal produce, local meats, handmade bread, pasta, jams and other foods.
There is also an ever-changing array of local artisan stalls selling everything from handmade soaps, beauty products, leather goods, steel work, jewellery, art and more.
There are also some tasty food vans, coffee and live entertainment.
5. Steven Bradbury and lager brewing
Where: The Royal on Ruthven
When: Saturday, 6pm
Come and spin a yarn, meet Steven Bradbury and hear about his new lager called the Last Man Standing.
6. Cabarlah Market
Where: Cabarlah Sports Ground, New England Hwy, Cabarlah
When: Sunday, 7.30am-12.30pm
Held monthly at the Cabarlah Sportsground, the Cabarlah Market has a wide variety of stalls sure to capture people’s interest.
There’s also food outlets that offer takeaway food, musical entertainment, and admission and parking are free.

7. Christmas concert
Where: St Luke’s Anglican Church, 152 Herries Street
When: Sunday, 5-6.15pm
After a tumultuous 2020, delight together in the music of Christmas.
The ‘Toowoombells’ handbell choir are to make their debut performance and local soprano, Calista Walters, will sing Holy Night and other favourites.
Eduarda van Klinken will take to the keys of the majestic St Luke’s pipe organ and community vocal ensemble, After5, will present some beautiful choral pieces. The concert has strict COVID-safe protocols in place.

8. Live and local
Where: Powerhouse Toowoomba, 20-26 Neil St
When: Saturday, 7-11.30pm
SOME of Toowoomba’s best local artists will play at the Powerhouse on Neil St on today from 7pm.
Acts include Project 62, The Bends, The Solitary Men and Sydney Wolverton.
Tickets are available at eventbrite.com.au for $10 or you can pay $15 at the door.
9. The Makers Market
Where: The Mills Precinct, Ruthven St
When: Sunday, 8am-1pm
The popular Makers Market returns just in time for Christmas.
A number of makers will be selling their products and there will also be face painting available for the kids.
10. The Fibonacci Band
Where: Bar Wunder, Ruthven St
When: Sunday, 3-6pm
The Fibonacci Band are returning to Bar Wunder this weekend to play from their extensive repertoire and entertain Sunday-sesh goers.
The music will include popular songs from many different eras.
