Travis Kelce’s mum honours Taylor Swift at NFL game as they watch from suite

Taylor Swift has attended her third NFL game as her romance heats up, where Travis Kelce’s mum paid tribute to the singer with her choice of outfit.

Third time’s a (friendship bracelet) charm.

Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs home game against the Denver Broncos in Missouri on Thursday night, marking the third time she’s supported boyfriend Travis Kelce within the last four weeks.

In a clear sign the couple’s romance is getting serious, the US pop star was photographed sitting next to Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, who wore a stack of beaded friendship bracelets in honour of Swift, whose fans popularised the jewellery item at her Eras tour concerts across North America this year.

Kelce, who turned 34 last week, even attempted to give Swift, 33, his phone number on a friendship bracelet after attending her show in Kansas City in July, but wasn’t able to meet the singer in person at the time.

Fast forward a few short months and the pair appear to be a firm item, with Swift’s presence at his NFL games dominating media headlines over the past month.

Fresh from the frenzied Los Angeles premiere of her Eras Tour concert film, which Kelce didn’t attend on Wednesday night, Swift surprised onlookers as she arrived at his Thursday night match wearing a Chiefs jacket.

In one broadcasted moment, Donna was seen pointing out to Swift the various fans waving at her from the crowd, as the Grammy winner gleefully returned waves in their direction.

It was a welcomed sighting for Swifties who are eagerly following the couple’s blossoming relationship, after the star skipped Kelce’s game in Minnesota last week.

The week prior to that, she went to his game in New York with a host of high-profile friends, including Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Sophie Turner and Shawn Levy.

Swift got on the front foot of swirling dating rumours when she made her unexpected debut at Kelce’s game in Kansas City on September 24, triggering extreme fanfare among her diehard fanbase and setting the NFL alight.

That outing also marked the first time Swift and Kelce were spotted together publicly, with the couple hiring out a local restaurant afterwards to party with Kelce’s teammates.

Speaking on his weekly podcast New Heights a few days later, Kelce dubbed his new love interest “ballsy” for making the very public debut.

He also affirmed, despite bringing the attention on himself when he publicly pursued Swift in July, that he would have to be more selective about what he shares now that the pair are an item.

“I know that I brought all this attention to me, I’m the one that did the whole friendship bracelet thing and told everybody how butthurt I was that I didn’t get to meet Taylor,” he said.

“What’s real is that it is my personal life. I want to respect both of our lives. She’s not [talking] in the media as much as I am, doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season doing other guys’ shows and any other show I go on from here on out.

“I’m enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend. So everything moving forward, I think talking about sports and saying ‘all right now’ will have to be kind of where I keep it.”

Swift’s previous long-term relationship was with British actor Joe Alwyn, which came to an end under mysterious circumstances in April.

The couple were notoriously private, and only spoke about each other publicly a handful of times over their six-year union.
